OUTBREAK AT BLENHEIM OCCUPANTS’ HURRIED EXIT (By Telegraph.—Pres3 Association) BLENHEIM, Friday A six-roomed wooden house insured for £6OO situated in the outer suburb of Springlands was totally destroyed by fire at 3. o’clock this morning. The occupants, Mr and Mrs R. Beech and a young child, made a hurried exit and saved only a few articles of wearing apparel, bedding and the radio set. No fire-fighting service was available and all the neighbours could do was to form a bucket brigade and save adjacent buildings. The contents were insured for £l2O.
