ACTIVITY IN LONDON (omclal wireless) RUGBY. May 10 It was stated at a meeting of the Finance Committee of the Londor County Council that the proceeds oi the council’s new loan were In the main required to finance the council'* current capital expenditure in respect of slum clearance and consequent rehousing, Bnd the provision of additional accommodation for the abatement of overcrowding, as well as foi highways and other improvements hospitals and schools, and a contribution toward the establishment of t green belt of open spaces around London.
