Fair weather is indicated today and to-morrow, with seasonable temperature and southerly winds prevailing. The Rainfall Rainfall for 24 hours ended 0 o'clock this morning. .00in Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .ooin. Rainfall for May to date, 2.34in. Average rainfall for May, 4.63in. Rainfall for year to date, 19.13t0. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. SPECIAL FORECABT (By Govt. Meteorologist). The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WalkatoI iipn . . h as follows; Forecast: Light to moderate and variable wind with south-westerly prevailing. Weather tine with warm day but cold night temperatures and some frosts inland. Sea slight to moderate. General Inference: An anti-cyclone of considerable Intensity still covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand areas, the highest pressure being over the southern portion of the North Island. A slight disturbance Is affecting the far southern portion of the South Island.
