FOOTBALLERS’ VISIT.
EXHIBITION MATCHES EXPOSITION OF AUSTRALIAN GAME (Bv Telegraph.— Press Association ■ WEL LINGT ON. Wednesday. Interest attache? to the visit next year of two Australian rules football teams to play exhibition matches in the Dominion —one at Wellington and one at Auckland.
Mr J- 11. Janies, managing director of Messrs G. Bramall and Co., who returned by the Wanganella, and Mr L Brabin are to make arrangements lor the teams in New Zealand. Mr ; James went to \ustralia to march in the Anzac Day parade with the Australian Imperial Force, then went to j Melbourne.
The teams, which are due here in July next year, will be South Melbourne and St. Kilda. Mr James *aid that arrangements are being made to charter a special steamer to bring the players and supporters across. It is expected that about 200 supporters will travel with the teams.
