JOLLY MORNING TEA IN HONOUR OF BRIDE-TO-BE When Miss Rona Lewis sails for London shortly after her marriage, which takes place at the end of the week, she will take with her many gifts “useful on the voyage,” presents from a number of her friends who were invited to a delightful party hostessed by Mrs D. J. Lundon at her home in Cambridge on Tuesday morning. Mrs A. R. Batchelor entertained the guests with vocal solos. Mrs Lundon was wearing a frock of cinnamon crepe de soie, and the guest-of-honour wore a smart navy suit with matching halo hat. Beautifully arranged vases of chrysanthemums and bowls of hydrangeas decorated the sitting-room. The guests were: Mesdames S. Lewis, L. F. Saclier (Sydney), Mervyn Wells, G. G. L. Taylor, W. R. Garrard, J. A. Bryce, W. Robinson, H. Porritt, A. J. Law, H. C. Tod, N. Waddle, G. Calvert, A. J. S. Richardson. P. W. Suckling, Alan Hill. Misses Lynsle Lewis, B. Swayne, Dorothy Bryce, Audrey Suckling, Jean Ferguson, Rhoda Brown, Rona Calvert, Nancy Porritt, Jessie Gow, Barbara Taylor, Ruth Speight, Elsie Skeet and Betty Skeet.

FAREWELL TO MISS MARTYN I To farewell Miss Nancy Martyn, who is leaving Cambridge to take her training at the Karitane Hospital in Auckland, Mis-s Audrey Suckling arranged a jolly party at her home, “Glenfern,” on Monday evening. Tables of bridge were arranged for the guests’ entertainment, tlie prizes for the highest scores being won by Miss Josephine Baxter and Mr Brian Banks, while the hidden number was won by the guest-of-honour. The sitting-room, brightened with a cheery log fire, was decorated with pink chrysanthemums and hydrangeas in shades of blue and greenThe hostess wore a frock of beech brown cotelle relieved with green. Miss Nancy Martyn was wearing a frock of Erin green self-checked taffeta. Mrs P. W. Suckling, wearing a claire de lune blue crepe frock, assisted Miss Suckling as hostess. • Among the guests were: Miss Margaret Cox, Miss Barbara Taylor, Miss Joyce Lewis, Miss June Banks, Miss Mary Macky, Miss Joan Sayers.
