GIFT AFTERNOON
IN HONOUR OF MISS R. SHAW A pleasant afternoon arranged by Mesdames Hicks and Robinson was spent at the home of Mrs Robinson at Matangi recently in honour of Miss Ruby Shaw, who is shortly to be married. The time was spent in games and competitions, and vocal solos by Miss Elsie Shaw were much enjoyed. Mrs Hicks was the accompanist. Competitions were won by Mesdames Thompson and McDowell. During the afternoon Mrs Robinson. on behalf of those present, presented Miss Shaw with a green flower howl. Miss Shaw suitably replied, and she was accorded musical honours. A delicious afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Those present were:—Mesdames Robinson, Hicks, Bryant, E- Thompson. Mary church. Johnson Hamilton'-, Burnett, Libeau. Coop, Thompson. .1. Shaw.
