FAREWELL DANCE

EVENING AT TAUPIRI There was a large gathering of residents of Taupiri and surrounding 'districts at. a farewell tendered Mr and Mrs E. A. Sowman, in the Taupiri Hall recently. Mr F. Durhridge. after expressing regret at the loss felt at the guests’ departure after 1* years’ residence in the district, asked them to accept two fireside chairs from those present, as a token of esteem. During the evening enjoyable songs were given by Mrs Juby (Auckland), Mrs Mear (Ngaruawahia), and Miss Freda Murphy. Those present were: —Mesdames E. A. Sowman, C. Lovell. J. Crampton, A. Burrett, A.
