MARIBT HIGH BCHOOL ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS Despite a high wind and generally unfavourable weather, excellent times were recorded In the Marist Brothers' High School annual steeplechase. Additional interest was lent to the intermediate and junior events, as on the placings of the cup competitors depended the 1938 athletic championships in these sections. These championships have been finalised with Paul Jones and Algar O’Brien respective winners of the intermediate and Junior sections. Results of the steeplechase are as follows: Senior—Pat Stapleton 1, Harold Flynn 2, Lawrence Connolly 3. Fastest time. H. Flynn, 182 mins. Intermediate—Basil Hill 1, Paul Jones 2, Charles Spinley 3. Fastest time, Temple Parkhouse, 21mins. Junior—Francis O'Brien 1, Douglas Pothan 2. Stephen Lee 3. Fastest time, Frafteis O'Brien, Smins oosecs.
