CLAUDEI.ANDS TRAINING SEVERAL HORSES WORKED SIB FRANK HITS OUT The going on the outeide of the course' proper was dead at Claudelande this morning when a number of horses with engagements at the approaching Waikato meeting were sent along. There was not a great deal of interesting work done. Flash Bye (Wheeler), a Great Parrish mare pacer, Moira Bingen (E. R. Smith), Barney Bingen (C. Wood) and Frontier Boy (Garnett) finished In that order at the completion of a mile and a-half in 3.53, the last half-mile being cut out In 1.15 1-5. Flash Bye did his work well and pleased by the manner in which he was sticking to ble work over the deciding stages. Bonny Pointer (Mitchell jun.), led Harlow (Mitchell) over a mile' and a half but the latter, finishing on, was on terms with Bonny Pointer on the post. Harlow, who is bearing a healthy appearance, la now located In Mitchell'* stable. Rara Avis (Wood) trotted a mile and a-half freely In 3.58. Wirl Bingen (A. J. Julian) worked freely over a couple of circuits but was not after time. The maiden Peter Smith (E. R. Smith) was associated over a mile and a quarter with Sir Frank (Tavlor) thd pair cutting out the distance in 3.2, the final section occupying 1.9. Both did their work pleasingly. Chile Bean Pleases Chile Bean (Mitchell), after giving Adversity (Mitchell, jun.). Reception (Owner) and Baron Grand (Garnett) a break in the early stages of a mile and a-half, drew level over the latter part and crossed the line on terms with Baron Grand. Both did their work well while the trotter Reception, who was handy at the finish, also Impressed- The full distance occupied 3.51. A smart trial was credited to Nawton Parrish and Lady Amanda, who clocked the best figures of the morning over a mile and a-half. Going well within themselves throughout tpey came home together in 3.46, a solid effort under the conditions. y Native Princess ran a mile and ahalf alone, coming home the last halfmile In 1.17. Horl Bingen (R. Gladlng) and Tryment. (McDonald) were associated over a mile in saddle, finishing on terms in 2.24. Both are in good order for racing at the Waikato fixture on Saturday. •
