NEGLIGENCE CASE
BROTHERS SENTENCED “Men like you create a very serious and difficult problem for a Judge,” said the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Supreme Court, Hamilton, to-day, sentencing James Alfred Jones 26 , sharemilker, of Tauhei, found guilty of manslaughter, and his brother, Albert Thomas Jones (24:, also a sharemilker, of Tauhei, who were found guilty of ngeligent driving, causing death. The case arose out of a road accident near Morrinsville on February 23. when a schoolgirl, Phyllis Audrey Marwood, was killed. The driver of the car. Albert Thomas Jones, was lined £SO and half the costs of the prosecution of the two B*others £lO 2s 3d. His driving license was cancelled but no order for future prohibition was made. He was allowed six months in which to pay. In the case of James Alfred Jones, His Honour stated that he could not take the same, course, and prisoner prlsonment with hard labour-
