Rotational grazing means fresh pastures. Fresh pastures mean increased returns. 9 9 9 Ring the pigs and save the pastures. 9 9 9 Move the feeding trough frequently. It saves a patch of grass and ensures distribution of manure. 9 9 9 You like a mattress. Give the pigs a bed all the year round. 9 9 9 Use the weighing scales and know how you are feeding. 9 9 9 Watch the litter and feed the sow accordingly. 9 9 9 Sows are approximately 115 days in pig. 9 9 9 It is more profitable for a sow to have seven good pigs than twelve runts. 9 9 9 A bottom strand of barbed wire prevents pigs from lifting the woven fence. 9 9 9 Grease the tails, especially in cold weather. This prevents unsightly stumps. 9 9 9 Feed fattening pigs often, but no more than they will clean up at one time.
