BURDEN ON SPORTS BODIES BOXING ASSOCIATION COMMENT “ The most glaring feature of the balance-sheet of this association is the large expenditure under the heed * rent.' ” remarked Mr R. Healey, at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Boxing Association last evening. The report, as published yesterday, was adopted. " I think it is about time some move was made to provide sporting bodies in this town with accommodation at a reasonable cost," added Mr Healey. He mentioned that a member of the association was seeking election on the Borough Council with the object of assisting to right ihe position as far as sports organisations were concerned. The necessity of having a paid secretary was commented on by Mr J. R. Rowe, who said that, with the amount of work to be done in the coming season, it was essential that the assoriatmn should have an official who would be in a position to devote a considerable amount of time to the sport. On his motion it was decided that, the Incoming commiltee be recommended lo go into the question of appointing a salaried secretarytreasurer. The election of officers resulted: — Patron. Mr R. T.
