V OTE for the CITIZENS’ CANDIDATES BOROUGH ELECTIONS The Hamilton East Citizens’ and Ratepayers’ Association, a body which has been in active existence for a quarter of a century, is again following its usual policy of endorsing candidates for the coming Municipal Elections. The Association has always adopted the policy that the interests of the whole community come first, and is not interested in any Political Party or Ticket. The undermentioned candidates have received the Association’s endorsement and citizens are assured that they are three practical men who are capable of intelligently handling Council business and would do justice to the Borough as a whole. A Member of the Borough Council for 9 years. Chairman of Works Committee for 2 years. 3. A Member of the Hamilton Fire Board for 8 years, and present chairman. 4. An enthusiastic supporter of Sports Bodies. A retired farmer. 1. Member of Kaikoura Domain Board for 4 years. 2. Served for 18 years on various School Committees. 12 years as chairman. 3. A Member of Racing Clubs and Sports Bodies. 4. A successful road contractor for 18 years, on a large scale. 16 years as local Body Engineer. 1. 18 years an administrator of various Sports Bodies and other organisations, including consulting Engineer for Sports Grounds, Polo Grounds, Racecourses, etc. 2.2 years Secretary Hamilton East Citizens’ and Ratepayers’ Association. 3.
