The Australian cricketers easily won their second matcli of the tour this morning, Fleet wood-£mith again ford University by an innings .and 487 runs. When stumps were drawn on the previous day Oxford, in reply to Australia's score of 679 for seven wickets declared, had been dismissed for 117 and four for 29. The match did not last very lone this morning. Fletwood-Smith again bowling well, and the Oxonians were all out the second time for 75 runs. Mav 6 The Australian cricketers will'commence the hard part of their tour next Saturday, when they will commence a three-dav match against the Marylebone Cricket Club. This will be the first serious trial of the tour and the scores in the match will be eagerly awaited. The M.C.C. team was announced today as follows:—R. W. V. Robins (captain;, C. R. Maxwell, K. fames, J. \V. A. Stephenson. J. 11. Human, F. G. H. Chalk. R. L. S. Wyatt, D. H. Wilcox, W. J. Edrich, D. Compton, J. Smith. The M.C.C. team is a very wellbalanced side, with a strong array of batsmen, a varied attack and a number of excellent fieldsmen. The batsmen Include Edrich. Compton, Wyatt and Wilcox, all of whom have excellent chances of representing England this season, as well as J. 11. Human, Maxwell, Chalk and the all-rounder Robins. The bowling is also of a high class, with Stephenson. Fames and J. Smith, the fast men all having definite Test prospects, while Wyatt, Robins and Compton will provide suitable variation. The wicket-keeper. Maxwell, Is a class performer and Is a very sound batsman. He will undoubtedly represent England If Ames is, for any reason, not available.
