BRIDGE EVENING

WHITIORA WOMEN’S INSTITUTE A delightful bridge evening arranged by the AYhitiora branch of the Women’s Institute was held in the Centreway Rooms on Wednesday, when auction bridge and five hundred were played. The room was artistically decorated. Prizes were won by Airs Miller, Whangarel, and Airs Weatherley (bridge) and Air Flyger and Airs Alagnall five hundred. Airs AlcDonald and Airs Graney were the winners of the hidden number. The proceeds of the evening are to be devoted to the social fund of the Institute. The hostesses for the evening were Alesdames D. I. Gate and C. Finch. Airs Warren, the president, presented the prizes. Those present included: Mesdames J. Ward Chapman, W. Graney, F. Herbert, V. Morley, Magnall, Digney, AlcDonald, A. Williams, L. Ashworth, C.
