AT STRATFORD-ON-AVON TO LAST OVER FIVE MONTHS •i Thf Shakespeare Festival at Strat-ford-on-Avon -will run this year for 24 weeks—from April 11 to September 24. The play chosen for the opening Performance was "Macbeth," pr duced by the festival director, B. Iden Payne. Phyllis Neilson-Terry was Lauy Slaoheth, James Dale Macbeth, liyhs iltarn Macduff, and Jay Laurier, the Snifio-hall comedian, made his Stratford debut as the Porter. Other productions during the opening week were '* The Comedy of Errors, ’ produced by Komtsarjevsky, and “ Twelfth Night." The play given on the actual birthday was King Henry the Eighth, produced by Mr Iden Payne—with Gyles Isham, Miss Neilson-Terry, and James Dale in the principal roles.
