Gibbons, of Hamilton, returned this morning from Wellington, where he represented the Waikato Union at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union. Mr J. Redwood has been elected a manager, Mr T. A. McClymont coach, and Mr W. O. Carlaw assistant-man-ager for the New Zealand Rugby I.eague team to tour Australia early in June.

Dr. B. O. Quin, son of Mr and Mrs F. Quin, of Te Awamutu, who is on the staff of the Princess Klizabctli Hospital, London, has been granted a diploma in child health by the Royal College of Surgeons, acting jointly with the Royal College of Physicians.

Mr J. H. Boyes, Public Service Commissioner. Mr A R. Ross, assistant secretary r.f the Cook Islands Department. and Mr r*. Roberts, an inspector in the Public Service Commissioner's office, returned to Auckland by the Matua yesterday after visiting Rarotonga.

Professor W. Anderson, of Auckland University College, has been notified of his election as president of the Australasian Association of Philosophy and Psychology for the current year. Professor Anderson will preside at "the annual congress of the association, to Ihe held at Sydney University from May 21 I N w i Zealand delegate will be Mr H. H. [Ferguson, lecturer in psychology at [Otago University.
