SOLE SELECTION SCHEME NORTH v. SOUTH MATCH (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Council of the New Zealand Rugby Union decided that the annual North v. South Island match be played at Wellington on Saturday, June 4. It was decided to call for nominations for three South Island and a similar number of North Island selectors, and a New Zealand sole selector. Nominations are to be in the hands of the council by May 12. The next meeting of the council was fixed for June 3, at Wellington, the night before the inter-island match. Managers for the New Zealand tesm to tour Australia, and the New Zealand Maori team to tour Fiji this season, will be appointed at this meeting. Mr S. S. Dean was re-elected chairman of the council.
