WHEN BRITAIN WAS “ATTACKED” BY RAIDERS FROM SEA AND AIR
Here are two phases of the theoretical attack made upon “Redland” during the recent war manoeuvres of the British Fleet and Royal Air Force, off the coast of England, to test the defences of Portsmouth. Portland and Plymouth, all strategic naval bases in time of war. You see the powerful fighting planes of the “Redland” defenders crossing the Cornish coast on the look-out for the attacking enemy. The formidable gun batteries are those of the battleship Rodney, of the "Blueland” fleet, commanded hy Admiral Sir Roger Hlaekhouse. The Rodney "shelled” the Redland mast at dawn, doing ’ enormous conjectural damage.” with her 16-inch guns.
