AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS PROGRESS OF WAIKATO PLAYERS (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Saturday. The Auckland badminton championships were continued lasi evening when both R. Lewis, Hie Waikalo lilieholder, and 11. Fow, of Hamilton, were successful iu I heir respect ive matches. Lewis was fully extended by P. Anderson (Auckland) to win 15—13, 6 15, 15—7, but Fow took his match with Rennie in straight sels, 15—8, In Hie ladies’ singles Miss A. Dempster (Hamilton) lost to Miss I. Inwood (Auckland) 7 —II. 9—ll, while Mrs Vended beat Miss .1. Stilclilniry (Auckland) 11—7, U—3, but later lost to Mrs Wren (Auckland) 7 11, s—ll. in Hie semi-finals of the men’s doubles Fow and Lewis beat Hull and Elicit (Auckland) and Hie Waikato pair will meet Weir and Wilson (Auckland) iu the final to-night.
