The Adventures of Johnny and Joan.
•• "’V- A DEAR EVERYONE, — Johnny and Joan, together with their pets were loft stranced on the beach of "The Land of Nod.” It is not a nice feeling to be loft alone In a strange land and our four adventurers were feeling very miserable about It. “I wonder If anyone lives here,” sighed Johnny, when Joan suddenly sprang up from the stone on which she was sitting. .“Sh ! ! ! can you hear anyone crying?" she exclaimed "Come along and let us see who It Is." So off they wont and what do you think they found crying as If Its heart would break? Why, nothing but a tree!” “Why are you so sad?” asked Joan. "Oh, I’m not really sad," sobbed the tree, “I'm merely a weeping willow," and finally after another burst of tears (which very nearly drowned Bone) the willow stopped weeping. “You aren't looking very cheerful yourselves,” said he. "Is there anything I can do for you?" So Johnny and Joan explained that they ware lost In this strange land, "do up there and see the policeman, he’ll soo„ put you right," said the Willow, So off our pet. went In ..arch of a policeman. I wonder what he will say to them. PETER PAN.
