NGARUAWAHIA NEWS.
QUEEN CARNIVAL ENJOYABLE DANCE HELD A most enjoyable dance, the proceeds to help the votes of the Ngaruawahla Queen in the Anglican Queen Carnival, was held In the Parish Hall on Tuesday evening. The evening was a very jolly one. novelty dances 'being a feature of the function. Excellent music was played by Mr W. J. Rogers, and Mr A. Rayner was M.C. Extras were given by Miss M. Brennan. Novelty waltzes were won by Miss Bates and Mr Bromwich, Miss Oliver and Mr Wilson, and Mrs Rogers and Mr Smith. The prize for the first couple on the floor was won by Mr Sunich and Miss Casey. Among those present were:—Mesdames Loughnan, W. Cavanagh, Turbott, Hill, Clout, Quintal, Whitlock, Terry, Bunn, Atkins. Misses E. Rattl, Raynor, White, Armstrong, Oliver, Dawson, Hill, Loughnan, Bates, Brennan, Casey, Smith.
BRIDGE AFTERNOON. A delightful bridge afternoon was given by Mrs A. Potter at her residence recently. The rooms looked most attractive, with bowls of spring flowers. During tlie afternoon Mrs Potter extended a welcome to Mrs C. E. Wilson, who has been indisposed for several months. Mrs Wilson was the recipient of a beautiful posy of spring flowers. Mrs K. Masters, who is leaving Ngaruawahia to reside in Morrinsvllle, was the recipient of parting gifts from her friends present. The prize for tlie highest score was won by Mrs Guy .Marriott, and Hie runner-up was Mrs 11. It. Rogers. The lucky number was won by Mrs Murriott. Among those present were:—-Mes-ilanies C. K. Wilson.
