Occasionally he takes male friends to golf at Velden, 40 miles distant, and Instantly scans the club-room for news of English raoes. REV. R. JARDINE'S LECTURES LITTLE INTEREST IN AMERICA SMALL ATTENDANCE REGRETTED ATLANTIC CITY, Aug. 25. There were 70 people yesterday In the Grand Ballroom here, which has space for 4000, when the Rev. R. Anderson Jardine, the Darlington vicar who performed the religious ceremony at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, gave an address. Mr. Jardine said he regretted the small attendance, which he attributed to the hot weather, and to a dispute with three local charities, which, he said, refused to sponsor the lecture.
