Carlisle, president of the Dominion Bank, has recommended that the banks should withdraw from the province of Alberta if Mr Aberhart's debt moratorium proposals are enaoted. He has warned Mr Alberhart that withdrawal would mean that the province would be likely to be unable to obtain a banking service within or without the Dominion. A New Zealander, Mr Howard, said that the subsidisation of Internal troubles in various countries is the newest form of warfare and one which Is becoming increasingly popular. The fear has been expressed that if Signor Mussolini and Herr Hitler succeed in •beating the Spanish Government their eyes will turn next to Czechoslovakia. None of the people of Europe want war. Everywhere the people seem oontent and England is in a happy condition. Mr Schramm’s Views. Mr F. W. Schramm, member of the new House of Representatives for Auckland East said that in France he found a feeling of great Internal tension. Germany on the other hand, seemed quiet and settled and there was k strong pro-British attitude among the people.
