GIFT EVENING.

FUNCTION AT PIRONGIA. A very jolly evening was given by Mrs E. J. Owen recently at Pirongia, in honour of Miss Hullten, who is shortly to be married. Games, competitions and singing made the time pass very pleasantly. The many gifts were presented to the guest of honour by Mr Eric Miller, who wished Miss Hullten and her fiance every happiness in the future. Mi- Herman Grace suitably responded on behalf of Miss Hullten. Opportunity was taken to present Mr and Mrs Owen with a handsome clook as a token of appreciation of the many happy evenings spent in their home during the winter months. The donors were their friends on Sainsbury Road.
