TE AWAMUTU FUNCTIONS.
CROQUET AFTERNOON. Another of the series of card afternoons promoted by members of the Te Awamutu Croquet Club was held on Saturday at Frontier Road, where Mesdames J. T. Young and L. Nicholson entertained a large number of guests in Mr Young’s barn, which had been effectively arranged for the purEuchre and bridge were played, Mrs Hamilton winning the prize for euche, with Mrs Gulpan accounting for the hidden number, Mrs Reese winning the bridge honour, and Mrs Nobes the consolation prize.
