ASSISTANT COOK.—Three vacancies for 12 years’ continuous service. Age limits 18 to 23 years. Knowledge of cooking and baking is desirable but not essential. ASSISTANT STEWARD. —One vacancy for 12 years' continuous service. Age limits 18 to 23 years. ENGINE-ROOM ARTIFICER.—One vacancy for 12 years' continuous service. Age limits for candidates applying during present year 19| to 24 years. Candidates must be competent at one of the following trades:— Fitter, Fitter and Turner. Coppersmith. Boilermaker or Enginesmith. They will be required to pass a ! technical examination and trade test prior to entry. Those who hold a 2nd Class Engineer’s Board of Trade certillcate will be accepted without technical examination. ELECTRICAL ARTIFICERS.—Two vacancies for 12 years’ continuous service.
