GREYMOUTH REACHED. TEAMB FOR TO-MORROW. BROODRYK’S FIRST APPEARANCE(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Monday. The Springboks, in the charge of Mr A. De Vllliers, were welcomed informally by a large crowd on arrival to-day from Christchurch. They will train to-morrow at Rugby Park and in the afternoon make a motor trip to Barrytown to inspect the large dredge. The manager, Mr P. W. Day, is indisposed, and remained at Christchurch, also Brand and Sheriff. Mr De Villiers said that the team was impressed with the Otira Tunnel and the alpine scenery on the overland Journey. Craven and Babrow travelled through the tunnel on the electric locomotive. The visitors are placing a strong forward team in the field against the West Coast-Buller combination. Broodryk will make his first New Zealand appearance, having suffered a shoulder fracture when playing at Newcastle. Following are the teams for Wednesday’s match: — Bpringboks. Fullback.—Turner. QUEUES AGAIN FORM. SECOND TEST BOOKINGS. (By Telegraph.— Pre»» Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Thorough preparations for an allnight vigil have been made by many members of a queue which formed up to-day to buy reservations for the second Test. The queue began to form about 1 p.m. The sale of tickets will begin at nine o’clock to-morrow morning. By 10.30 this eve’nlng the queue extended more than 100 yards along Cashel Street. Considerable reinforcements are e'xpected early In the morning. ALL BLACK POBBIBLEB. NEW BRIGHTON TRAINING.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The twenty New Zealand players chosen to train for the second Test against the Springboks, at Christchurch, on September 4, will spend four days before the match at New Brighton. Mr J. T. Burrows, manager ol the All Blacks, has been In touch with the Mayor of New Brighton, Mr E. L. Smith, and grounds have been prepared for training. Mr Smith said at a meeting of the New Brighton Borough Council this evening that the players would arrive on the Tuesday before the Test. Both grounds in the borough would be put in good order. It had also been suggested that the council should cooperate with the local football club in providing some heavy men to assist in scrum practice.
