OTOROHANGA AFFAIRS.

TOWN BOARD MEETING. • (Special to Times.) OTOROHANGA, Friday. The Otorohanga Town Board held their monthly meeting last evening. Present were: Messrs F. O. R. Phillips (chairman), G Jackson. R. Bell. A. J. MrCready. A. P. Grey. H. E. Lawrence. R. T. Rhodes and T. il. Gosse (town clerk and engineer). Tho agreement for the lease of a portion or tho Domain to hockey and cricket clubs was approved. It was derided to grant the Otorohanga Cricket Club the use of the Island Reserve during this season, on the same terms as last year, but not rhe use or the oval. It was resolved to make further representations to the Government showing the necessity or housing accommodation at the money themselves for housing purTlie library committee were authorised to improve the heating or the municipal library. The clerk reported that the credit balance at bank was £727 18s 3d.
