PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY.
CAMBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL. SUCCESSFUL YEAR. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Sunday. The presentation or prizes took place at the Cambridge District High School (secondary department) yesterday for the 1936 year. They were presented by the Mayor, Mr C. H. Priestley. Also present were Messrs. J. J. Catran (headmaster), ' A. N. Mackav (member of the Board of Education), Rev. C. W. Chandler, S. Lewis, R. S. Entwtstle (secretary), and a number of parents. The passes for the year were:—Matriculation. 9 out or 10. Senior Free Passes, 27 (all received). Higher Leaving Certificates, five out of six. Training College Entrants, two. School Certificates, eight out of ten. In the absence of Mr S. N. Elman, his cup was presented by Mr S. Lewis to Miss Mollte Foster for the best all-rounder. Entwlstle Medals (Tor good all-round tryers), Bruce Watt and June Clayton. Dux of School, Colin Fisher and Mary Turner. Languages. Marie Savory. Mathematics, Betty Waite. Science, Heather Andrew.
