Love of a Horse. — The fart that horse riding is returning to favour as a means of exercise among young women in various parts of New Zealand was commented upon by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the lion. \V. K. Parry, at I lie sports conference at Parliament House. The love of the horse and of riding, said the Minister, was a very good thing for the good of Ihe community; riding was a splendid form of recreation. In some places at Ihe present time horses were so scarce that often it was an apology for one that some of the women riders h,ad. it was not even .1 decent blllj goat. This position was due to the fact that horses were not being bred to Hie same extent .as in years gone by. but it was hoped to see a resuscitation so that there would be the opportunity for the young people to get a decent hack.
