Copyright (Received August 23, 11.10 a.m.) ZURICH, August 22The council of the Jewish Agency for Palestine passed a resolution similar lo that passed by the Jewish Congress, authorising the executive to negotiate with Britain for the establishment of a Jewish State, but also directing the executive to ask Britain to convene a conference of Arabs and Jews to explore a peaceful settlement on the basis of an undivided Palestine. Mr Weizniann said a serious lastminute attempt will be made to reach an agreement on the basis of the existing mandate.
