CONCERT AT HIGH SCHOOL. SUC CESSFUL F UNCTIONS. The second term of the school year was brought to a fit I ins: conclusion at the Hamilton High School this morning-. when the pupils gathered in the assembly hall l'or the end-of-term concert. Parents and old pupils from all over the district were present and the building was tilled lo capacity. • lie function proved one of the best, given by the school for many years ami the pupils and those associated with the concert, are to be congratulated on its success. Songs were rendered by the school, past pupils, and others. Four of the girls took part in a dance entitled " Rendezvous.” while two scenes from Shakespeare were also presented. The Workman’s Play from “ A Midsummer Night's Dream,” proved a gn\ii success. the players bein'#; dressed in Shakespearean costume. The following gave items: Itela Anderson, Rosalie Seddon recitation ; Mrs Sewell, Me F. Mason and the senior boys (songs'. The arrangements were in the aide hands of Mr F. 11. Aplliorp. At midday the school was dismissed and the pupils will return mi September 7. The holidays have been disorganised considerably this year principally through the infantile paralysis epidemic, and llic new Edueatam Fellowship Conference held in Auckland recently.
