EMPLOYMENT OFFICER

OTHER CHARGES PENDING. REMANDED ON BAIL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Friday. Charged with stealing 11s 6d, the property of the Employment Promotion Fund, and with forging a declaration of Income, Percy i Fulton, employment officer, at Gisborne, appeared before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., this morning, and ' was remanded till August 31. Detective G. A. McWhirter, in aj plying for a remand and agreeing t ball, said other charges were pendinj The charges were of a serious natui and resulted from the acts of a publi servant in charge of the labour bureai Counsel pointed out that although th charges were serious they did not in volve large sums. Bail was allowed in £IOO with similar surety.
