MATANGI NOTES.
CARD EVENING. The iveeilv card evening organised DV the Matangi Hall Social Committee ivas held in the hall on .Monday. There was a large number present, and progressive live-hundred was enjoved- The winners were Mrs H. Taylor and Mr n. Hoe. A competition avas won by Mrs R. Richardson. Supper was served by the ladles of the committeeAmong those present were:—Mesdames R. Taylor. Wainwright, Jamieson, snr., J. B. Taylor, Skifflngton. R, Roe, I. Robinson, Ellis. A. McClennan. B. Hogan, W. McClennan. Misses W. Wilkes, O. Cole, M. Hogan.
SOCIAL AFTERNOON. The ladies of the St. David’s Guild held their monthly social afternoon in the Matangi Hall recently. There was a fair attendance. Competitions and flag five-hundred were enjoyed- The card winners were Mesdames 1. Robinson, Wainwright and W oods. Mrs Coventry was the winner of a competition. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Mesdames J Ranstead, A. Jamieson and Trubshaw.
