ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
SHOT WHILE HUNTING. PLUCKY MAORI’S ACTION. OPOTIKT, Thursday. After killing a pig Kaliu Pulia (38), a Maori, seized his gun by the barrel while pig hunting near Itaukokore, on the' F.ast Coast. The gun discharged and Puha received tlie full charge in his shoulder. Though severely injured Puha walked several mile's to a farm with the pig slung on his back. He is now in a serious condition in Opotiki Hospital.
