Thirty skeletons which have been unearthed in a burial ground at Maiden Castle, Dorchester, are expected to reveal new facts about the types of early Britons. It is believed they were the 'inhabitants of a hill fortress, and died in defending the city against the Romans. Many showed -sword cuts, and one was buried with a beer mug in the right hand; another was clutching a mutton .
