Richards, M.P- at a meeting in Auckland last night that the Govern- . meat will be taking a further step this coming session towards the complete control of banking, the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, said to-day that on the whole the Government was getting satisfactory service from private banking corporations. “If we do not," he added, “then we will provide It ourselves. That statement Is not new. I have made it many times. So far no definite decision has bean made.”
