Clarence j Taylor, at present serving a sentence '* ! of I i days’ imprisoninent for negligent 11 driving, heard hv Mr Justice Kennedy in the Supreme Court yesterday, was disallowed, and costs, £7 7s, were given against applicant. The Crown Prosecutor. Mr 11. J. Maeallster, opposed the application. In his reserved judgment to-day His Honour sail I: -"The first ground for the application was that the warrant was without jurisdiction, and the final ground was that the proceedings were wholly irregular. On argument, these grounds were' defined in the submission that Hie tribunal was disqualified by bias, and was without Jurisdiction." 11 is Honour held that there was no evidence of the magistrate being biassed and the proceedings were within his jurisdiction.
