Out of the ’ ! twelve nurses who had sat for fro general examination ten bad passed, one with honours. This was a splendid performance when it was realised i that the total of 200 candidates came j from all parts of the Dominion and I only four of these received honours, i !An ' even better record had been pre- | served in the maternity examinations, ; where every candidate was successful. Great credit, considered the chair- | man, was due to the tutor sisters, doctors and lady superintendent. Miss j D. Menzies. J Mr Hyburn also presented the S special medal from the board to Nurse j M. M. Harrisson. whom he congratu- ; lated on her very fine performance, jHe added that Nurse P. Goodwin, | runner-up for the medal, had also proved herself very capable. I There was no question that the ! nurse was doing a wonderful job, sai l ' j Mr F. Findlay, a member of the board, ! who coupled his congratulations with those of the chairman.
