NGARUA CARD EVENING.

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. All the card tables available were occupied when the Ngarua Hall Committee held one of their card evenings recently, a very happy time being spent by the large, number present. Including visitors from Waitoa. Walton, Waharoa, Waihou and Springdale. The successful players In the progressive 500 tournament were Mrs W. Scott and Mr P. Davis. The chairman of the committee extended the. thanks of that body for the patronage offered their effortsSupper was served at the conclusion of the tournament. Mr F. Greenville had charge of the cardroom.
