The Colonial Office lias received a report from the acting-Governor of Mauritius of a strike among casual labourers on four sugar estates. Though the strike is still continuing the situation is under control. There was bloodshed on one estate, where four men were killed and seven wounded, three seriously, In a clash between the estate staff and the strikers.
