Important constitutional changes ■ expected to result from the in vestigations of a Royal Commission, the appointment of which was announced to-day by the Prime Minister, .Mr \\ . L Mackenzie King. The commission will examine the economic and financial basis of the Canadian confederation and the distribution of legislative powers, ineluding the allocaton of taxes. Mr King said it had been represented to the Government that its powers were inadequate to meet economic and social changes.
