COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
FOR MIBB D. CLIFFE. To celebrate the occasion of the eoenlng-of-age of Miss Dorothy CUffe a most enjoyable function was held In Toorak Hall recently. The room was attractively decorated with balloons and streamers, while bowls of daffodils and narcissi add•d a bright note. The guests were received by the host and hostess, Mr A. S. Cliffe and Miss Joyce Cliffe. Miss Joyce Cliffe wore old gold taffeta over green lace, and Miss Dorothy Cliffe wore salmon pink velvet with silver relief. The evening was spent in games and dancing, during which novelty dances were won by Miss J- I.orh and Mr D. Calderwood, Miss I. Bowman and partner, and Miss 11. Nott and Mr U. Lister. During the evening a delicious supper was served, after which Mr ClitTe presented the guest-of-honour with the customary key in an appropriate speech. Miss Cliffe suitably replied to a toast in her honour and completed tho ceremony by cutting the cake. Dancing was continued, and a happy evening was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Exetlleal music was played by Mr W. Saunders. Messrs N. Winger and D.
