As the outcome of the Main Highways Board’s decision to close the Rotorua-Aliumuri highway for file cartage of timber and the additional costs Involved, it Is probable that two timber mills at Oruanui. employing about 60 bands, will close at the end of the current week. The employees were notified to this effect at tlie end of last week.
