CURRENT PROGRAMMES STATE THEATRE. “Mountain Justice” is a gripping melodrama based upon a girl’s ambition to bring the benefits of civilisation to the benighted people of her remote village in the hills. Bemuse they use taximen as front for their distribution of Hie contraband, sorrel agent Brian Donlevv becomes a convincing cabby, is initiated into the organisation, and proceeds methodically lo bring them lo justice There is a sensational climax to Hie exciting story REGENT THEATRE. ‘History is Made at Night” is filled with excitement-, humour and thrills, and works up to a finale of dramatic power. Charles Boyer stands out in a gem of brilliant acting as the "greatest head waiter in all the world.” He rescues Jean Arthur from a fanatically jealous husband, a shipping magnate (Colin Clive'. Boyer takes her lo the Chateau Bleu, where they fall in love with each other. Leo Carrillo, as the “greatest chef in Paris.” is a triumph as Boyer’s friend. Clive tries to frame Boyer for the murder of the chauffeur, and Jean is willing to sacrifice herself to save Boyer, and therefore returns to Clive if lie will forgo his intention towards the man she loves. Jean leaves with Boyer for America. As head of a big shipping concern. Clive orders the Atlantic liner on which his ' wife and Boyer are crossing to he speeded up.
