jt There was a large attendance at s the weekly card evening, held in the \ Matangl hall, in aid of the hall funds, « Progressive five hundred was cn- > Joyed. Miss M. Kirkbride and Mrs R £1 Taylor tied for Hie ladles’ prize ami 5 Mr K. Shaw won the men’s prize. A 'competition was won by Miss M. Robin- . son. Supper concluded a very pleasant evening. Among those present, were:— Mesdames R. Taylor, Jamieson (sen.), Milne, .T. B. Taylor. B. Hogan, I. Robinson. Kirk bride, \\ i mvr rht, Sklfffngton. Misses W. Wilkes, R. Shaw, M Kirkbride, O. Cole.
