Figures compiled by the Australasian for the Australian Turf Register show that Heroic was the leading sire last season with winners of £32,825. Heroic has thus emulated the feat of his sire Valais, who headed the list of Australian sires for five I successive years. Next to Heroic comes Spearfelt, who sired winners of £20,348.
