A good entry of beef was penned and -sold under brisk bidding at rates in advance of those ruling last sale. Store and boner cattle sold readily at recent quotations. A good yarding of dairy cattle comprised mostly heifers. Competition for heifers close to profit was particularly keen, a good sale resulting. A line of 9 heifers on account of Mr 11. A. Worrall averaged £lO ss, while 6 head from Mr W. Coombe, averaged £lO 7s, with 6 heifers and 3 cows from Mr J. J. McCarthy averaging £lO.- Thero was a larger yarding of fat pjgs and n good entry of stores and weaners, with competition for fats keen. Late rates were maintained. Stores and weaners were also in keen demand, and prices were in advance of those at the last sale. Medium fat wethers made 365; prime hoggets, 31 s 9d; store hoggets, 20s.
