LATE MR T. SEARLE.

WIDELY MOURNED SETTLER. The funeral of the late Mr. T. Searle, who died in the Waikato Hospital on Sunday, took place at Morrinsville before a large gathering of friends and relatives. From the Kaipaki district, whore deceased had previously farmed, there was from every home at least one re- | presentative. Many returned soldiers also attended. Prior to the interment the casket, covered- with the Union Jack and surrounded hv numerous wreaths, rested in the Morrinsville Anglican Church. The first part of the burial service was conducled by the Rev. C. W. Chandler, Vicar of Cambridge, who referred to the fine character of the late Mr. Searle. The service at the graveside was read by Archdeacon Gillespie. of Morrinsville. The pallbearers were Messrs. F. Searle, S. Oldham, R. Speake and J. Scott.
